National flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan

National flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a square cloth of blue color with the image of the sun in the middle and eagle wheeling under it. Near flagpole there is national ornament in the form of vertical line. Image of sun, its rays, eagle and national ornament is of golden color. Proportions of the width of the flag to its length is 1:2.

The blue self-color of the National flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan reflects both adherence to the idea of unity and reminds about cloudless sky that is the symbol of peace, and well-being.

In the language of heraldry the blue color and its tinctures corresponds to such human qualities as honesty, fidelity and hope. The golden sun bathing in its rays is the symbol of peace and wealth, and the steppe eagle is the symbol of generosity and vigilance, achievement of business of Kazakhstani people.
